The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption (previously titled The Scorpion King 3: Book of the Dead and The Scorpion King 3: Rise of the Dead) is a direct-to-video film that was released on January 17, 2012. It is the third installment in the Scorpion King series; the sixth film in Universal Studios’ The Mummy franchise and stars Victor Webster in the title role. This film continues the story of Mathayus, after he becomes the Scorpion King at the end of The Scorpion King and focuses on Mathayus battling Talus while trying to stop a war in three kingdoms of Egypt.
